Yikes!!! Its Friday 13th

Electric RC Flying at Farimont Junior High

Last Sunday I flew Fairmont and was shocked by how many people stopped by especially for an unannounced fly.
The field is flyable just dont fly over the fence. LOL
Everyone was was talking about how they missed flying as a group at Farimont and that we never knew how good we had it untill they reduced the field size.
The field is still larger than most fields we have been looking at and the location is still beats out all other fields presently.
So why dont you stop by and give Farimont a try with the reduced field size. The weather is not looking very good but we can still hang out as group for a little shop talk.

Multiplex Micro Jet hits 159 mph

Some news that does need attention is the the neck breaking speed of a Multiplex Micro Jet that was flown at 159 mph here in Boise. This was a team effort by Wizbang and Cartman.

Capital Dirt Burners will be having a money race this Sunday July 2nd, There will be a $10.00 buy in for each class. No membership discount for this race. All classes will be "open" of course we will separate classes, 1/8 scale, 2wd nitro, electric truck... Pay out will be determined by the amount of people who race in that class. For every 3 entries we will pay out 1 person. 1/2 the money to the racers and 1/2 to the club. We will open the track Sunday 8 A.M. until 11:30 and we will start racing @ noon. If you have any questions you can call me at 376-8932.

Well June is here which means the weather "should" be better so we can enjoy our RC hobbies without getting rained on and flooding the RC off road track or blowing our RC aircraft across the fields. Well... lets hope for some good weather. :-)

The move to the new server is now complete for the following sites: www.capitaldirtburners.com, www.boiseflyers.com, The Gallery. I apologize for it taking so long. The good news is those sites are moved. The bad news is the Forum and the Boise RC Store are to be moved next. I will let everyone know before the move.

I know summers here when I have a tough time keeping my LED Light kits in stock. People are escaping the heat and flying later at night. If you want to move your RC flight to the next level try flying at night. I only have a couple in stock but should have more by Saturday.

The LED Light Kit for RC night flight consists of a red, green, 2 white and a blinking LED packaged together with wire, power pigtail, resistors and shrink tube that is conveniently packaged so you don't have to go looking for individual parts. You will need to solder the kit together. There is no need for an extra battery pack. It runs off a spare channel on your RX.

Saturday April Fools Day 2006

I apologize for the site being down yesterday. Apparently my host had a drive failure. We had no data loss that I know of. The site appears to be running well but if you come across any glitches please contact me at 761 2734 and leave a message.

Just before the site went down I had mentioned that I need to take the site off line for some updates. I hope to accomplish this after midnight 04/02/2006. The site should only be down for an hour.

The gallery has been updated and I hope all of you like the new look. The updates should fix some problems that we have been having with the gallery.

Capital DirtBurners have a new front page on their site. I hope to finish the site soon.

Again I apologize for the inconvenience.

P.S. This post should make Mrs. Mills happy :-) lol
