Batteries
The most common batteries in the R/C arena are NiMH (nickel metal hydride), Ni-Cd (nickel cadmium) and the
*lithium family Li-poly and Li-ion.
Li-poly is the lithium battery used
most often today for R/C.
These three types of batteries all have their own "good" and "bad"
characteristics.
I will list the most common traits for each type of
battery chemistry.
Charge Rates
*Most
accidents have occurred with the lithium family of batteries. These
accidents caused fire and destruction of personal property. If you
don't know how to safely use your batteries please consult a
knowledgeable source. |
