Batteries

The most common batteries in the R/C arena are NiMH (nickel metal hydride), Ni-Cd (nickel cadmium) and the *lithium family Li-poly and Li-ion.
 Li-poly is the lithium battery used most often today for R/C.Various Ni-Cd and NiMH battery configurations
These three types of batteries all have their own "good" and "bad" characteristics.
I will list the most common traits for each type of battery chemistry.

*Most accidents have occurred with the lithium family of batteries. These accidents caused fire and destruction of personal property. If you don't know how to safely use your batteries please consult a knowledgeable source.
